Helping children in Zambia - The Butterfly Tree Mosquito Net Project

We had a special visitor to our collective worship sessions this morning. One of our Governors, Jackie Brown, came and told us about a charity she is involved with in Zambia - The Butterfly Tree.

Earlier this year, Jackie visited a school in Zambia, called Kamwi Primary School. She told us it has the same number of pupils as Sacred Heart, and that the children need mosquito nets to protect them from the dangers of malaria.

We  all agreed that it would be a great if we could raise some money for the Kamwi Mosquito Net Appeal and so this Christmas we are going to donate all the money raised on our Christmas Jumper Day to The Butterfly Tree.

On Wednesday 12th December, the day the children will be having their Christmas lunch, they can wear their Christmas jumpers and help the children of Kamwi by donating a £1.
